We're hiring a Product Manager for Supabase Realtime. You'll own the surface area developers use to build live, collaborative and event-driven apps on Supabase: Broadcast, Presence, Postgres Changes, and the capabilities we build next.

Responsibilities

  • Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
  • We're hiring a Product Manager for Supabase Realtime. You'll own the surface area developers use to build live, collaborative and event-driven apps on Supabase: Broadcast, Presence, Postgres Changes, and the capabilities we build next.
  • You'll work closely with the Realtime Engineering team and with partners across Product Management, Design and GTM.
  • This role is ideal for someone who's excited about building tools for millions of developers and who has a passion for the types of user experiences unlocked by simple, scalable real-time channels. You should have a nuanced understanding of full-stack application development, including existing and emerging real-time and sync patterns.
  • You'll collaborate with customers of all sizes and expertise levels: from an indie developer adding live updates to a side project, to startups building collaborative SaaS, to enterprise teams streaming live data to dashboards.
  • You'll own the problem statements and solution rationale behind the Realtime roadmap. This means working with Engineering and Design to shape how Supabase crafts the developer experience for the problems you’ve prioritized solving.
  • You'll use data to understand how Supabase developers are using Realtime features: where they succeed, where they get stuck, and what to tackle first.
  • You'll keep Engineering, Design and GTM aligned. You'll own the plan of record for what's coming, why, and in what order.
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience on developer tools, or are an ex-founder with equivalent depth. You're comfortable commenting on an architecture doc, following a design discussion, and advocating for the user when trade-offs are required.
  • Have owned an app development platform, feature or framework where real-time was core to the developer experience.
