Full-Time Faculty Position in Rhetoric, Composition, and Writing Studies

Responsibilities

• Teach core Sophomore-level and Senior-level writing courses to English & Communications majors.
• Teach upper-division elective courses in areas of rhetoric and writing studies, which may include composition studies and pedagogy, rhetorical theory, digital and multimodal rhetoric, professional and technical communication, public writing, or related fields.
• Teach General Education courses in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences to non-major students.
• Engage actively in research that contributes to the fields of Rhetoric, Composition and/or Writing Studies.
• Contribute to curricular and programmatic developments.
• Mentor students in their academic and professional development.
• Participate in program, college, and university service activities.
