Fraud Analyst

Responsibilities

• You will help operate and improve Pleo’s fraud decisioning capability, with a focus on card fraud and related financial crime risk scenarios.
• Supporting the end-to-end fraud rule lifecycle: from rule proposal and analysis through testing, deployment, monitoring, tuning, and rollback.
• Working directly in, or closely with, decisioning tools and rule engines to support fraud detection logic.
• Analysing fraud patterns, alert trends, false positives, false negatives, and rule performance.
• Translating FraudOps insights and stakeholder requests into clear, structured rule proposals.
• Helping assess whether new rules or threshold changes are justified by data.
• Monitoring post-deployment rule performance and identifying when rules need adjustment.
• Supporting daily operational requests related to fraud controls, while ensuring changes are traceable and well documented.
• Partnering with FraudOps, AML, Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, and Legal to make sure decisioning changes are aligned and risk-aware.
• Maintaining clear documentation for fraud rules, rationale, expected impact, testing outcomes, and monitoring results.
