Senior Manager, Material Planning

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the material planning team, establishing clear priorities, accountability, and performance expectations.
• Design scalable team structures, coverage models, and standard processes to support concurrent global NPI programs.
• Lead the team in close partnership with Engineering
• Build Managers (EBMs) to ensure material readiness, successful builds, and on-time product launches.
• Maintain accurate demand, build quantities, lead times, BOM changes, and priorities within SAP and MRP.
• Partner with commodity managers and contract manufacturers to resolve shortages, secure supply, and recover at-risk builds.
• Lead shortage reviews and scenario planning, quantifying impacts, assigning actions, and escalating critical decisions.
• Translate program changes and engineering change orders into executable material plans and concise leadership updates.
• Develop and scale an AI roadmap that automates planning, improves data quality and predictability, strengthens controls, and measures business impact.
