We are looking for experienced, backend-leaning product engineers to help expand the capabilities of our industry-leading AI analytics platform. At Hex, we're deeply focused on building powerful, integrated AI features that augment and accelerate analytics workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Our backend product engineers work on features across the entire Hex application. Here are some example projects
  • Build and extend Hex’s API and CLI to enable powerful, ergonomic workflows for our most sophisticated technical users
  • Design MCP server and client implementations to expand entry points into our capabilities
  • Design and implement a next-generation access control system, including role-based access control (RBAC), admin request/approval flows, and tiered admin roles that scale with complex organizations
  • Own full-stack product changes end-to-end, from backend policy enforcement to admin-facing workflows, ensuring these enterprise features are intuitive, reliable, and secure
  • Propose and implement well-architected, scalable systems in collaboration with the broader Hex team
