We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator to lead complex database architecture, engineering, and optimization initiatives for mission-critical systems. You will work closely with development, infrastructure, and governance teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and compliance of enterprise-grade Oracle environments.
Responsibilities
- Architect, configure, and manage enterprise-grade Oracle database environments
- Lead major upgrades, patching cycles, platform migrations, and consolidation projects
- Design and manage high-availability and disaster recovery solutions using Oracle Data Guard
- Perform advanced performance tuning including SQL optimization, instance tuning, and memory management
- Implement and optimize robust backup and recovery strategies using RMAN
- Conduct capacity planning, growth analysis, and recommend scalability improvements
- Enforce security standards, credential rotations, access governance, and audit compliance
- Support development teams with code reviews, query optimization, and schema design
- Validate deployment plans, participate in change advisory boards, and ensure successful release execution
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices
