We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer (Kafka, Microservices) to design, build and run event-driven services that support structured-products negotiation and trading connectivity. You will develop stateless Java microservices, harden streaming reliability and observability and deliver through GitLab CI/CD and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

Design, build and test stateless Java microservices and shared libraries for Kafka-based messaging
Implement routing, transformation and enrichment of messages between internal systems and external partners
Strengthen reliability through robust error handling, schema compatibility and deterministic processing
Build production-ready observability using metrics, logs and tracing to support fast incident triage
Deliver services across environments via GitLab CI/CD and Kubernetes, supporting releases and operations
Write high-quality unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews and raise engineering standards
Integrate external trading platforms and venues with internal reference data, product and instrument services
Support FIX connectivity where required for venue and platform integration
