Demo Engineer

Responsibilities

• This is a net-new role. Right now, the work is split between ad hoc effort and a new set of disposable demo templates the Internal Platform team is building. You’ll own the layer on top of that foundation — customizing and extending those templates, generating realistic demo data, tailoring environments for specific verticals and new markets, and making sure every feature is demoable before it ships. You’ll sit within Solutions Engineering, reporting to the Global Head of Solutions Engineering, and partner closely with Internal Platform and Product teams.
• The best person for this job is genuinely hands-on technical — working with internal tools and configuration files, using APIs, and general data preparation — who gets energy from building leverage for a whole team rather than fixing one demo at a time.
• 🛠 You’re comfortable working in JSON, calling REST / developer APIs, using AI tools, and scripting to configure and customize environments.

• 🎥 You care deeply about demo quality. You understand what makes a product demo land, and you’re thoughtful about data realism and the narrative a demo needs to support.

• 💙 You have empathy for the go-to-market teams you support and the Talent Acquisition space they sell into.
• 🧱 Own the scaled demo system — customize and extend the demo environment infrastructure to support the GTM team.
• 🎯 Build vertical- and market-specific demos — create tailored content for target verticals and additional languages as we move upmarket and expand internationally.
• 🧪 Stand up trial and sandbox environments — create templated environments prospects can use to test Ashby during the sales cycle.
