Senior Frontend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of frontend features across the internal tooling products, from design doc through to production and post-release monitoring
• Build and extend components in our Vue 3 design system, caring about the API surface other engineers consume and not just the pixels
• Integrate against REST APIs fronting our serverless and EKS services, designing for real-world async behaviour: eventual consistency, retries, idempotent submissions, and partial failure states a user has to understand
• Instrument what you ship, so frontend work is observable in Datadog and carries correlation IDs through to the backend
• Write and review design docs, take part in our design doc review sessions, and run Knowledge Sharing Sessions for the wider engineering org
• Provide clear and concise communication and updates regarding feature development statuses to the team and stakeholders
• Adhere to internal coding standards, development processes, and design best practices, and help shape them as our engineering standards mature
• Ensure quality through thorough testing and peer review of your work and the work of cross-functional teams
• Take part in the Commercial dev support rota, roughly once every five weeks
