An overview of this role The Purchase team sits within GitLab's Monetization section and owns the end-to-end purchase experience for all GitLab products, including new purchases, add-ons, upgrades, and self-service promotional discounts. As a Staff Fullstack Engineer, you’ll work across the frontend and backend to build the interfaces customers use to buy and expand GitLab, along with the services that process transactions and integrate with billing and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and build fullstack features across the purchase journey.
- Lead technical design for new purchasing capabilities and the unified purchase experience.
- Partner with Product and
- Design to turn purchasing requirements into resilient, well-tested technical solutions.
- Ensure purchase flows integrate correctly and safely with downstream billing and CRM systems.
- Set and uphold engineering standards for code quality, testing, rollout safety, and monitoring.
- Mentor engineers and review merge requests with thoughtful, constructive feedback.
- Identify and reduce technical debt and architectural risk in the purchase experience.
- Participate in incident response for purchase-related issues because of their direct revenue impact.
