Why This Role Matters The RNE (Registration, Numbers and Enablement) group within Vonage's Foundation Engineering department works across four core product domains: Registration, Numbers, Number Intelligence, and Know Your Customer (KYC). Our backend engineers face exciting challenges associated with high-performance, distributed systems and processing large volumes of data in real time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain highly concurrent and distributed backend services
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and help shape technical decisions within the team
  • Design, develop and test new features with a strong focus on quality and reliability
  • Profile and optimise system performance, diagnosing and resolving issues proactively
  • Support the release and documentation of developed features
  • Estimate effort required to develop and implement solutions
  • Contribute to coding standards and development processes
  • Provide out-of-hours support as part of an on-call rota.
