We are looking for a strong Senior Software Engineer with a primary focus on backend development, while also being able to contribute across the full software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate should have deep experience in Java-based systems, including both modern and legacy platforms, and should be comfortable working with frontend-related topics, DevOps processes, deployments, documentation, and system integrations.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Grails.
Work with both modern Java 21 applications and legacy Java 8/Grails systems.
Develop REST APIs, backend services, integrations, background jobs, and database-driven functionality.
Understand frontend application needs and collaborate effectively with React/frontend developers.
Participate in DevOps-related activities, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment preparation, logs, monitoring, and environment troubleshooting.
Analyze business and technical requirements and convert them into clear implementation tasks.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, release notes, implementation guidelines, and development instructions.
Review code, mentor junior and middle developers, and help improve team engineering standards.
Troubleshoot issues in test and production environments, including logs, database problems, integration failures, frontend/backend communication issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Contribute to architecture discussions and propose practical, reliable, and maintainable technical solutions.
