We're looking for a Backend Engineer — A2A Integration to join our team in Portugal in a fully remote working mode. In this role, you will contribute to building the Agent Gateway for an Enterprise Agent Development Platform – a cloud-native ecosystem enabling engineering teams to define, orchestrate, deploy, and observe AI agents at scale.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain A2A Gateway components enabling agent discovery, registration, and interaction
Implement Agent Card JSON schema and /.well-known/agent.json endpoints for identity and configuration publishing
Design and integrate A2A invocation patterns, handling JSON-RPC 2.0 messaging, task lifecycle events, and push notifications
Build and optimize high-performance APIs in Python using async frameworks and AgentCore SDK
Implement secure and efficient communication flows for agent interactions using REST and streaming mechanisms (SSE)
Collaborate with platform and orchestration teams to validate integration correctness and performance under load
Ensure proper observability of inter-agent workflows, promoting traceability and debugging capabilities
Support the implementation of deployment topologies for specific gateway use cases and configurations
