Senior Business Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define, document, and execute NetSuite development tasks in an agile team process managed in Atlassian Jira.
• Deliver first-class SuiteScript code and designs that adhere to software development industry best practices, with a bias toward root-cause fixes over narrow, symptom-level patches.
• Design and implement unit, integration, and regression test coverage for critical customizations and integrations as a standard part of delivery, and help establish a team-wide Definition of Done that includes test coverage.
• Use AI-assisted and agentic development tools to accelerate SuiteScript, integration, and test development, applying design-first practices (specs, architecture docs, and constraints) so AI-generated code is consistent, reviewable, and maintainable.
• Help define team standards for when and how AI-assisted changes ship, including the change-management evidence required for SOX/ITGC controls.
• Contribute reusable context (architecture decision records, coding standards, and integration documentation) that makes both engineers and AI tools more effective across the NetSuite codebase.
• Partner with our NetSuite Administrator to audit and govern platform configuration — roles, permissions, workflows, and bundle usage — ensuring changes are documented, reversible, and don't accumulate as untracked technical debt.
• Assist in the development, architecture, and support of scalable integrations between NetSuite and other business systems.
• Collaborate with NetSuite business users across Supply Chain & Logistics, Financial Systems, and Member Experience to translate requirements into durable solutions.
• This is a remote role based in the US.
