You'll sit on the IT Governance Forum, represent the delivery agenda at the executive table, and shape how engineering scales alongside the business.
Responsibilities
Engineering leadership — lead and grow the engineering organisation.
Manage all Delivery Leads (hiring, coaching, career progression) and build a culture of accountability and quality.
Delivery governance — run the Delivery Governance function: standards, processes and predictable execution against committed roadmaps across every stream.
Operational resilience — act as Major Incident Commander.
Own release management, incident response and DORA / FCA operational resilience compliance.
AI-enabled engineering — drive AI adoption across engineering, from capacity planning to incident detection, and measure the productivity gains it creates.
Capacity & FinOps — allocate engineering capacity across streams, balance delivery against technical debt, and own cloud cost efficiency.
Capability & DX — build competency frameworks and career ladders, and co-own the Developer Experience programme with Platform Leads.
