The Optimization Engineer is responsible for improvement mobile network performance by analyzing network KPIs, identifying optimization opportunities, and supporting optimization activities across existing network and new 4G/5G deployments. The role also incudes performance analysis, reporting, and collaboration with technical teams and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze mobile network performance using available statistics, KPIs and optimization tools
- Support to identify network performance issues and investigate their potential causes
- Perform basic analysis of coverage, capacity, quality, and accessibility KPIs for 2G/3G/4G/5G networks
- Participate in optimization of newly launched or expanded network sites, including 5G deployment and network expansion projects
- Analyze drive-test and other measurement results and support to identify coverage and quality issues
- Prepare performance report, KPIs analysis, and optimization recommendations
- Work with planning, transmission, implementation and other technical teams to resolve network performance issues
- Support acceptance and post-launch performance monitoring of new sites and network features
- Assist with the analysis of customer-impacting network issues and contribute to their resolution
- Use and develop proficiency in network planning and optimization tools
