Mechatronics Engineer (Mechanics and Electronics) | CreedRoomz

Responsibilities

• Design and develop functional prototypes using platforms such as Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, Arduino and ESP.
• Develop algorithms for detecting objects, colours and symbols, focusing in particular on recognising the state of game elements, using Python and OpenCV.
• Select, connect and configure a range of hardware components, including cameras, sensors, actuators and lighting systems.
• Write efficient code to handle low-level communication with peripheral devices over the GPIO, I2C, UART and SPI protocols.
• Bridge the gap between hardware and software by integrating systems with backend services through REST APIs, WebSockets or MQTT.
• Test embedded systems rigorously to ensure stability and real-time operation across diverse environments. Maintain a structured and well-documented knowledge base of tests, updates and experiments.
• Support cross-departmental collaboration during pilot projects, deployments and innovation trials, in real or demonstration studio environments.
• Ensure that internal technical standards, safety rules and confidentiality agreements are observed.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor that are consistent with the labour code and with the internal rules of employment.
