We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst in Armenia. About the project: we are building a Customer Intelligence & Personalization Platform for an ecosystem of businesses in Armenia.
Responsibilities
- You will design the layer between the raw data of the core banking system and the platform's data marts. The source is poorly documented: some values are encoded, some business logic lives in code and stored procedures, and two outwardly identical records may have been assembled by different algorithms from different tables.
- We need someone who will take this source apart and turn it into a considered data model: what comes from where, what affects what, and what each field means.
- ● Investigate the core banking system, legacy and external sources, and recover their semantics.
- ● Work back from the target data mart to the source: establish which tables each attribute is assembled from and by what logic.
- ● Separate the cases where data that looks the same was obtained by different routes, and record the rules for choosing between them.
- ● Document the data model and the metadata: entities, relationships, grain, keys, historisation.
- ● Define the requirements for the data marts used for segmentation, scoring and recommendations.
- ● Write SQL investigations and transformation prototypes, and test hypotheses against the data.
- ● Establish the meaning of the data directly with the bank's staff — this is a constant part of the work.
