This is not a role focused on simple checkout integrations. We are looking for engineers who have dealt with real-money transaction states, idempotency, retries, duplicate prevention, provider timeouts, unknown transaction statuses, reconciliation, refunds/reversals, settlement workflows, and production incidents involving financial transactions.

Responsibilities

  • CodeDecoders is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with hands-on experience building real payment and transaction systems.
  • You will work closely with the product and engineering team and own backend modules end-to-end, including architecture, database design, implementation, integrations, testing, and production reliability.
  • We particularly value engineers who can explain how they have designed transactions, balances, ledger entries, settlements, reconciliation processes, and safe failure recovery in production.
